The second publication in 2 months in JACC cardiovascular Intervention with excellent clinical data of the Translumina Yukon DES! Moore et al (JACC Interv., 2009, 2, 437-444) published a randomized controlled clinical trial, comparing the Cypher stent versus the Yukon DES with optical coherence tomography (OCT) three months after implantation. The study shows statistical significant differences in endothelial strut coverage and strut protrusion in favour of the polymer-free rapamycin-eluting Yukon DES.
